My Charger started doing this yesterday, the constant crank and everything. Turned out to be the alternator. Not saying that's what it is, but its easy to test for and fixed my problem so I wanted to share. After a couple days, the truck started and ran as normal, started on the first key turn every time. Fast forward to this week, and the intermittent start issue is back. Sometimes the truck starts on the first key turn, sometimes it starts on the 4th or 5th. Never cranks, just clicks once. Then this morning it just didn't start.

Most of the time it will crank for about 20-30 seconds then start. Occasionally it will crank for half a second then shut off and when it does this it always starts right up as normal. We experience these starting issues frequently (every 3rd start +/-) but not any specific pattern.
