I'm pretty sure this is not a metal grip mod. It's a stippled X Grip with a metal magwell. Honestly doesn't even look like a clean stipple job imo. The good: the M1811 feels phenomenal. The front and backstrap checkering aren't overly aggressive; they almost feel smooth. As soon as you're holding onto the frame, you are locked in. This may be a placebo feeling, but I personally feel as though I can get higher up into the backstrap of the frame than on any other module.
